On the 29th of October, there will be another free Shuttertalk workshop at The Sorting Office in Eastleigh. Come along and learn how to let your talent work for you, and share a couple of hours with fellow photographers and artists in your local area.
The evening will be a broad introduction to Illustrating for stock and is aimed at both illustrators and photographers alike, so before all the photographers run a mile, the idea is to show how diversifying your portfolio can be easier than you think and beneficial to overall sales.
For those of you still thinking ‘I’m a photographer, not an illustrator’ - think again! Most of you are already using many of the skills and software required, and the transition can be much easier than you think.
The evening will include an overview of:
- Styles and techniques.
- Required equipment - with some free options to get you started
- Submission requirements
- Popular themes and trends
- Using your photos as source material for illustrations
We will finish with a Q&A session , where you can ask questions, share ideas, or just get to know fellow contributors.
So as winter draws in, and getting out with the camera is less of an option, why don’t you learn how to put your creative talents to good use and give illustrating for stock a try?
Please reserve your place by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Hope to see you there!
